Ugh, that Earl guy is indeed a creep. Trying to get the main girls to be his mistresses made me face palm. I'm just glad to see he got what he deserved.

The fight against the undead was idk...strange. I mean, they did push them back but the fight didn't really impress me much. Only highlight I enjoyed was seeing Earl being punished.

so when the skeletons attack the town, all the sudden they are the only adventurers to fight them? where are other adventurers?

I see Lord Aldarp is doing just fine for himself.

The merchant Reiss is back, and he's draining the magic from Lily and Feri to raise the most horrid abominations known to man: shitty CGIs! Everything about the skeleton invasion just looked so goofy. I think my favorite shot was the "I must go, my planet needs me!" levitation of Reiss into the "cockpit" of Stella's corpse. Still better animation than Arifureta, though!

The ugly bastard Earl Gladstone is a very suitable villain. It's a shame he didn't get more time to dig his own grave even deeper while under that truth drug. Shoutouts to Stella for straight up chugging that spiked tea.

Production and story telling quality dipped some this week, and the ecchi volume went from bountiful to just more than adequate.

"Tama! It's bath time"
Always and forever. Nice Vulcan view in bath this time.

@Kai200X
There were a lot more people in the manga version of this scene. There's a whole party of adventurers who Aria had met on the road to explore the new labyrinth, as well as some of the knight characters from before, who show up to protect the town. The anime replaces all of them with just Vulcan, who in the manga was still back at her shop at this time.

Fat ugly bastard wondering why his rape drug ain’t work is killing me. Piece of shit got exactly what he deserved. I’m glad they didn’t kill him or sentence him to death. He needs to stay alive and pay for his crimes.

Animation felt noticeably weaker; but they went all out with the ecchi at the end lmao

The plot twist here was pleasantly well done with the Earl actually not being the ones that kidnapped Feri and Lily but instead that being Reiss whom was seeking revenge. I also liked that the truth serum was used on the Earl and that at the end he got punished. Overall great episode with some nice fanservice at the end.

He raped and murdered his wife. I can't blame Reiss for wanting to enact a revenge plot. Realistically, I think that the earl himself and all close associates, once found out at the end by the townspeople due to the mystical truth serum analogue, would themselves be lynched rather than just sentenced to life imprisonment. But then, that could qualify as a political revolution (though the same could be said of imprisonment, even if less radical) if he is/was the de jure preeminent legal authority in the town. But I don't know the political situation concerning who is governing this country they're all in. I'm assuming it's a monarchy, but not clear how much autonomy these local cities, towns, and villages have or if killing or jailing the earl would be considered an act of rebellion against the king and the crown. I doubt it would go so in-depth with all that.

This was probably my least favorite episode just because it was the most action-focused. The action wasn't terrible or anything (better than in some previous episodes), but there was no Aria drooling over Tama or any hints of advancement in their relationship, teasing, etc. which is what I'm mostly watching the series for rather than the action and story apart from that which is like an afterthought.

It wasn't bad though. However, I wish the skeletons weren't CGI. I thought the same in Isekai Suicide Squad. Just how much greater they would look by comparison just in basic 2D.

I think that Lily is probably the cutest from his harem of girls (which, let's be honest, is a harem even if that specific term doesn't appear anywhere in the show itself and MAL wrongly, for the time being, isn't labeling it as such on the series' page), though given her diminutive fairy stature, it's unclear how copulation would work from the physical practical standpoint, but with the cat at its current size it would at least be more manageable.

Oh yeah, this is definitely the weakest episode of the series so far. However, the problem has less to do with being more action-focused, but rather how things were handled after the action sequence.

Given how the main concern that viewers had in this episode were for Lili and Feri, you would expect some sort of scene where they recover from their kidnapping and waking up to find their friends (and a new one in Vulcan) beside them, thus ensuring their safety. Instead, they are basically ignored once they are rescued (save for the bath scene at the end) and instead all the focus is instead on the heroes exposing the generic corrupt lord as a rapist/killer while trying to make viewers sympathize with a necromancer who used the two fairies against their will as a means to fuel his magic. Definitely not good writing IMO.

I adore how they increase Stella importance in fight. She's getting deservd justice. Hope they continue to presenting her as a power tank.

MAAAAAAAAAN what was that setup with Reiss? For a second i lost a lot of IQ trying to undersant why HE is the one who gets punished, but then Lord started talking and I just tougt "Damn you Aria, that was so sneaky smooth ............ "

if the guy was rich enough to:
1 buy a whole earth dragon skeleton.
2 buy that 'arrow' of mana drain... which looked like a crossbow bolt not an arrow at all!
3 buy that bell or whatever it was to summon undead.
4 maybe research becoming a necromancer etc. because he said he could only summon two skeletons at once with the mana he had before.
5 somehow learn how to subdue fairies who were more powerful than he was, see #4... and maybe #3? Tama somehow knew that bell was why the fairies were stupefied???
6 keep up a very nice house/small mansion and continue his traveling merchant business.

why didn't the merchant just hire a whole assassin's guild worth of guys to kill the scumbag? the dragon skeleton ALONE must be worth the GDP of that country for 3-6 MONTHS.

if i was DungeonMaster for this campaign? the 'army' of skeletons would have kept the party of adventurers at bay, busily running through town finding various flunkies of the merchant who were his 'small unit commanders' of undead. while BBEG merchant summoned a small support force of footman skeletons and summon undead dragon from the bones RIGHT IN-FRONT of the perv Earl's estate. the merchant would have also found the unconsecrated gravesites of the women the perv Earl killed and turned them all loose as ghasts, wights, banshees, and other spirits/undead of vengeance hunting down all the perv Earl's retainers and supporters all over the town as well as on the grounds of the Earl's estate.

frankly, whomever wrote the source or screenplay for this little arc? was thinking WAY too small!

I don't think this show is sensitive enough to handle a plot point about rape and murder, they really should avoid such topics. In addition the necromancer summoning skeletons from a graveyard which then just disappear into thin air was really stupid.

The earl had good taste, but this was comedy gold. I was expecting the execution at the end, but instead the villagers improsoned them.

In terms of the whole necromancer thing and the point of it, it more than likely has to do with how the second volume is meant to be Stella-focused, with the idea being that the last remnants of Stella's past as a giant Earth Dragon (its skeletal remains) is being used as a weapon as part of a revenge plot, with it having to be fought to not only stop the necromancer, but to rescue some fairies that the heroes befriend along the way.

Unfortunately, the problem is that the situation isn't executed properly, resulting in so many problems such as:

  • The necromancer's plan not really being used to its full potential.
  • No proper scene showing the fairies recovering from being used as a means to fuel the necromancy (or a scene where the necromancer apologizes to them for his actions, as that's the one thing preventing him from people properly sympathizing for his desire of revenge).
  • The plan being pointless, as Aria did find a bottle of a truth serum that would force the Earl to publicly confess his misdeeds to the town folks.
  • The Earl and his butler only getting jail time for his deeds (whereas a title like Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear would have a scumbag lord executed for crimes that would involve rape and other sins).

As a die-hard ecchi fan, especially of the R+18 kind, I've been backing Beheneko since the start.

But I gotta say, while it kicked off strong, the hype's definitely on a downward spiral. The storyline's direction is all over the place, and episode 7 doesn't give you much motivation to keep watching. Even the fan service scenes, which used to be the highlight, just aren't hitting the mark anymore.

It's like they're trying but missing the sweet spot. If you're in for the ecchi, this episode might leave you wanting more.

Worst episode of the show by a large margin. Reiss' revenge plan was stupid as well as unnecessarily convoluted and the whole deal with the ugly bastard Lord was handled way too lightly considering how dark it ended up being.

Please, just focus on bath scenes and not-so-serious adventuring from now on.

With Lily and Feri seemingly disappeared out of a sudden, Vulcan getting the news thereafter from Aria, only to be interrupted of a servant of Earl Gladstone which Vulcan fills them in on the truth, leading to the 3 girls heading to his mansion to investigate under the pretense. And the Earl himself...is just a creep as stylized with his rather fat and ugly appearance, though Tama neutralizes the tea given to them which was clearly drugged. And Stella just glowing out of answers for Lily and Feri, soon takes a turn with the army of undead storming the town.

Whilst the 3 girls split up to stop the summoner, they could not have thought that it was Reiss taking both the fairy and dryad hostage to resummon the earth dragon, even by its exoskeleton alone. And this pisses off Stella more than most for someone taking advantage of their kindness and effort to take down a monster. In the end, Reiss's revenge plot was just kind of subpar, with the hilarious bit being a rando skeleton that just walked up to him carrying his dead wife's soul. To make matters even worse, the Earl having to execute the public execution of Reiss, being the good guy in this case...or rather being duped by the Drop of Truth and having his secret exposed without his know-how, instant karma came to him (that's the satisfying bit at the end).

Reiss being let off with imprisonment was just slight disappointment, but at least Tama had a good bath with the girls.
