It's not a workaround to avoid censorship when it's literally censorship by modifying the game then releasing a patch that restores the original version of the game. And how would changing it to "childhood friend" expand the fanbase. It's a route based game, you don't have to romance her.



It's not needless padentic it's just the truth. Game was written with incest in mind then censored. Just like all their other games except melony where written with Incest in mind. It just seems silly to incest that the censored version of the game is just as valid when it's pretty much just an afterthought with less content and that the actual writers still consider her to be the sister.

Is the Patreon version like that? Or I guess the version on here? I was going to argue that censorship would imply that the content is missing, because it isn't in the Steam version. Incest is just a toggle in the settings menu, I didn't have to do any "after market modifications" to make it available.

Isn't that kind of weird? It seems like thats a fire-and-forget setting, who needs to be able to toggle it on and off at all, let alone frequently enough to want it on the menu bar?
Anyway, all that was just to point out that we might have been talking past each other on the censorship argument because our game versions seem to be significantly different on this issue.

I almost agree about not having to romance her, but the issue doesn't affect just one character, its four. The two MILFs and their two daughters. Thats 40% of the LIs, so if the incest wasn't toggleable then the game is that much less attractive to those who don't have the kink. Also especially because Shortcake is one of them. ;)
...Also the story revolves around sister/childhood friend. Her character sheet entry doesn't even have a heart to toggle on or off her path with. So she's not really an optional LI, you either gain points, or try to balance them, or purposely drive them into the negatives. You can't opt out like you can with everyone else.

Sure, those lines look out of place in the non-incest version, but who cares? Is that part of the thrill, the pearl clutching by the other characters? I don't mean that to sound... judgey? Just don't understand why it was mentioned, because I just ignore those lines. And all the hemming and hawing of the MC's "oh but I can't!" train of thought, thats what skip is for. Incest is such a pervasive kink in AVNs that you can't get away from it. Games that have absolutely no need to put a blood relation in it do so just to get that tag. So I'm used to ignoring all that.


P.S. I think I said this in this thread when I first played, but that MC needs to get a fucking CAT scan or something, he's been knocked unconscious like at least once a week so far.

Yes, it's the patreon version that's like that. The subscribestar version has it turned on automatically. I don't care that you don't like incest. It's ridicolus to argue that the non incest version of the game is just as valid when it was literally written after the incest one and cuts off multiple endings. And turning incest on and off doesn't effect the other characters either, Ashley is not the player's mom, the only character who is releated to him other than the sister is the cousin, except you don't find that out honest you specifically steal her paternity results on her route. Also all the characters have hearts on them to toggle the relationship. I'm not really sure why you are saying the sister doesn't.


No the story doesn't resolve around a childhood friend. It literally makes no sense if you turn it off. Why would Gerald suddenly just decide to have Ashley and the sister live with them? Why are characters shocked to find out that The Mc and the sister are in a relationship? Yeah those lines feeling out of place is the main reason why the non incest version isn't really valid. It just overtly messes up the story and is mostly an afterthought with less content overall. If you have to go through so may hops just to get around incest, including literally skipping some of the dialogue because it doesn't make any sense. Then it's pretty obvious that the game is meant to have incest and the non incest version isn't really valid/canon.

And what do you mean you can't get away from incest? There are 92 pages of incest games on this site out of 667 pages, and there are 575 pages of non incest games on this site out of 667 pages. That's only 13% of games on this site are incest based. Seriously. You don't like incest, don't play games with the incest tag. You telling me you skip dialogue and ignore dialogue because some of it doesn't make sense, because you're explicably playing a game that caters to a kink you dislike is just sad. Go play something else. You keep saying you can just ignore the obvious incest themes, but you shouldn't have to ignore it. You should just play something that doesn't have the incest tag on it.

You're forgetting Trish, Ashleys sister, which would make her an Aunt. Thats four. And go look at the character sheets, the childhood friend doesn't have a toggleable heart. It does revolve around her, she is not optional. And the difference in the background takes just the tiniest bit of rewriting. It still makes perfect sense. There really isn't less content, its just slightly rewritten.

As for your math, re-do your calculations for just Ren'Py games. That cuts it to 195 of 247 pages of Ren'Py games that don't have incest. Thats a whole quarter that does, but I can't futher restrict it to just Daz games because F95 doesn't have that as a searchable option.
I guess I should say that the incest tag coincides extremely frequently with the tags I do want in the engine and style of games I prefer.
Another way to look at it is that I can offhand think of only 2 games that have (female) family members as characters that do not have the incest tag.

And it till means 75% of renpy games on this site don't have incest. It's far from an inescapable kink. It has about the same amount of pages as other kings like corruption and voyeriusm. And No I didn't forget Trish, she's not related to the mc. He met her until the start of the game. And they every LI has a heart in the character sheet. I have no idea why you're saying she doesn't.

I don't care if you have the kink or not. I'm not trying to convert you into liking it. I just think it's ridicilous to go into a game that's so obviously incest based, which has dialogue that even according to you doesn't make any sense with incest turned off, and say that's just a valid just bcause you plugged your fingers in your ears everytime something implying incest popped up.


And yeah it's a lot less content with incest turned off. I don't know if you finished the game or not but you're literally locked out of multiple endings by not having incest turned on and probably about half of the content with the twins.

trisha doesn't have any relation to mc in any version, ashley has since she raised her daughter and mc for some years while mc's daddy was awayso she's close to be stepmother.

What irritates me about this is that the non-incest story is romantic and sweet as it is, reuniting with a childhood sweetheart and building something from it. Its kinda a dick move on your part to be all like "bUt ItS nOt ThE rEaL sToRy!!1!1" all the time. It is a perfectly valid (and official!) story without the kink. This whole argument started because someone had to correct "childhood friend". I'm not trying to make you abandon your kink, I just want you to make room in your sandbox* for others to play too.

No, she isn't MC's mom. She's the main LI's mom, and the main LI has the same dad as the MC - so she's really a half-sister. Ashley and Trisha are not related to MC by blood in any version.

And, the non-incest version again - where would you here "Oh my god, I made out with my childhood friend!" or someone else be like "Yeah, I'm OK. Most people would freak out that you fucked your childhood friend/roommate/landlady/etc" (not all for this one, but others that change it to avoid the Patreon Gestapo from removing the game.

Ashley is not the Mc's mother. Mc and the sister are half siblings. Ashley was the mc's dad's long time girlfriend so she's more of his stepmom and his bio mom died when he was little. And Trisha isn't related to the mc at.



Because it's not the real story and she's not the childhood friend. Like I said I don't really care if you like the kink or not or play the censored version. But it's silly to argue that the non incest version is just as valid when it was written afterwards and heavily alters the game including locking you out of certain endings and routes.


It's dumb. Just admit you're playing the censored version of what's an obvious incest game. If you want to play the censored version that changes the story because you don't like incest, whatever I don't really care. I just think it's irritating to insist that censorship is just as equally true as the original, because it's not. It's literally censorship. There are some games where incest is obviously a tacked on after thought and can be pretty much ignored, but in the case of this game it literally changes the whole plot and the endings to turn it off as well as generates dialogue that doesn't make sense.



You want to play the censored version fine, just don't pretend it's not censored.

trisha yes but ashley isn't mc's mother in any version, she's only sis/chf's mommy but only sorta stepmom to mc (his biomom died a while ago).

trisha is mc's other sister's mother but he doesn't that unless ends relationship with that sister and trisha and mc hadn't met before mc came to sb.

only biorelations to mc are his sisters and daddy others aren't.

But seriously, I've not been intentionally trolling, I just bristled at how unfriendly and possessive and entitled y'all have been about the story. Sure, if not for international law being what it is, there wouldn't need to be two versions of it. I get that makes you angry, but seriously the dev(s) did a really good job at making this workaround and you should give them credit, not shit on their accomplishment. I'm sorry no one taught you how to share, I will let you have your tantrums in peace.

not international law (national law yes but many countries allow incest), just patreon rule that no incest (besides some exceptions until that exception isn't allowed).

i'm not angry towards you.

i have given my compliments to team.

it won't blow into your face you'll just miss points to get certain endings (easy to cheat enuf points that gets all endings). ashley knows that you bang her daughter but even that didn't blow up.

Nobody is shitting on the dev for censorship that they were forced to do by patreon. This is just what incest games do, there is a censored version and then there is a patch that allows for the true intended version. We're shitting on you for trying to say it's not censorship and that's just a different version. And I don't really get how anyone can be entitled about a story.
